This is the first appearance of my new comic strip character: Sig Stevens!

I’ve created innumerable comic characters in the past for comic books, but this is the first serious character I made for a strip-style comic.

The feeling I want to raise is the sense that this is the “weekend edition” of a daily strip. You know how occassionally the papers will run a week’s worth of comics on one page – this is in that style.

I wanted Sig Stevens to be a no-bullshit straight man who walks among us, but is not one of us. He’s not going to ignore lies and allow tom-foolery. So it is my goal he can be someone we can not only look up to as a good neighbor in our community, but also potentially learn from. A vehicle for encouraging conservatives to push back against the tide of insanity.
